    A Simple Love

My love, I have tried with all my being
to grasp a form comparable to thine own,
    but nothing seems worthy;
I know now why Shakespeare could not
compare his love to a summer's day.
It would be a crime to denounce the beauty
of such a creature as thee,
to simply cast away the precision
God had placed in forging you.
And unsure now if our feelings are truly mutual,
Always my heart will be yours.
Time will progress, but will our love as well?
I may not know how you feel,
But I know my feelings towards you are true.
Feelings of Love or feelings of Lust?
What is Love? Love to me may not be
What Love is to you. But I can't help but feel
This way towards you and each of your perfections.
Can I say these words that are now unspoken?
Will these words affect everything that has progressed?
To me, words that are unspoken, may
Be because they cannot be spoken.
I cannot help but think that,
    Each presence of your being,
    whether it physical or spiritual,
is an trap from which there is no release.
But I do not wish to be released.
I wish to stay entrapped forever.
    With you, for all eternity.
    Our hearts, always as one.
