A Way Out?

    A Way Out?

He lies to me...time and time again
I was a fool to think he was my friend

    He screws with me
My mom was right...to think it to early for me to be a wife

What can I do? Where can I go?
I have no money. I have no home.
Should I stay? Should I go?
Can I brave the tide of being on my own?

He cheats on me, then says it's my fault
I should have been a better lover, or so he thought.

He touches, not in an abusive way
But it still makes my stomache turn anyways

I don't want to be here. I want to break free.
The only thing that's keeping me here just turned the age of three.

nikkishaniqwa, what you convey in this poem can be felt by 10 million women worldwide. Every woman can connect with this poem, and that's a wonderful thing! You've layed your feelings on the table for anyone to read, and that is bravery indeed!! Your rhyme is good! Your meter is a bit out of whack though. I can help you tighten that up without changing the meaning, if you "want" the help. It's up to you. You can email me at litilraven@gmail.com if you choose. Keep the pen moving in any event, you have a lot of talent!

A very touching poem, stay strong.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
