    “The Journey”


    I’ve come many miles with promises to keep .

    And many more miles before I can sleep.

    Somewhere and somehow…I’ve made my mistakes.

    Forgiveness is key while I’m still awake.

    Some deeds I have done that others forsake,

    shall be washed clean like one white snow flake.

    Sometimes the silence..is all I can here,

    then the flood gates open , in comes the fear.

    When the spooky shadows encumber my heart,

    my thoughts go to pieces..and I fall apart.

    The only salvation that I’ve ever found,

    the spirit and God…the one .. profound.

    So, If I have a chance… to live one more day

    I t’s the choice I am given ..to GIVE IT ALL AWAY!
