Mother Earth Day
I was just sitting here pondering this day,
I've taken for granted ..in most every way.
Didn't stop to wonder ..the breath that I take
..or where that breath comes from , or how to partake..
Where ? oh where have I been these many a days?
My pride and my pity has had me ablaze.
My mother of birth could scold me so true,
because I live loosely this land ..and sky blue.
My mother the earth is being torn apart,
..not just by chemicals, but also mis-managed hearts.
So...It's now up to me to do my full share,
to insure the breath of our children everywhere.

to celebrate today as Mother Earth Day.
