    Adoption

A child is a person from the moment of conception
Although many may say they disagree.

But if that child is not living they why is he growing?
He is more than just tissue and seed.

Many babies are not given the life that is intended
Their mothers choose their own selfish way.

But there are some special ladies who know what is right
They want the best for this child, come what may.

Their lives may be unstable, or their hearts not prepared
    For this awesome responsibility ahead.

So their choice is not easy, some may say it is wrong.
But their hearts, trusting God are so led.

They choose a path carefully for this child that they carry
One better that what they can give.

It is unselfish and caring, love no one can imagine.
To not end this small life but help it to live.

Adoption is the choice for these very special mothers
Trusting someone else to care for this life.

Hoping the parents she seeks to care for her child
Will provide a home that is loving without strife.

The decision is not easy, many tears have been shed
For her heart is torn with the love that she feels.

One part of her heart wants to keep this sweet child
But her mind tells her heart to be still.

Her life at this time is not ready to make
The right home for this special little one.

So she is guided by Wisdom from God up above
He will provide her needs in this situation.

So with fear and with trembling she meets the new parents
And wants to know they have unconditional love.

They promise their dedication for this child will not fail
They, too, will trust God from above.

So new mother, never worry if your decision was right
Don’t listen to those who would question you.

Your gift of this child is best for your precious one
Peace will reign in your heart the years through.
