Reflections of Christmas

Reflections of Christmas

Reflections of lights in tinsel and bows of gold and silver, red and blue,
Wrapped around presents that are chosen for me and chosen for you.

Reflections of excitement in small faces as floats ride in the parade
They anticipate seeing Santa perched on his grand ole sleigh.

Reflections of love in our own hearts as we drop change in a bell ringers pan.
Knowing even this little bit will make a difference in the life of a lady or a man.

Reflections of that special birth long ago as the carolers sing Christmas song
Remembering the gift that God gave the world, which had waited so very long.

Reflections of Jesus in our own lives, His example we use as our own.
From the moment of his conception, Mary knew she carried a life that would forever be known.

Reflections of our own lives as we pursue our goals and our dreams.
Realizing that we were chosen in just the same way as odd as this thought may seem.

Reflections of his hand on us as we grew and reached this very time.
Not one of us was an accident, created without reason or without rhyme.

We are all here for a purpose as wide and varied as that may be.
Let us reflect on this at Christmas and God will show us what he sees.
