    Alone and Confused

    Alone and Confused

    My heart is silently weeping,
over the love I have been seeking.
I prayed so long he would come to me,
only to learn it may never be.

The sun still rises, the rain still falls,
but when I am longing for his voice he doesn't call.
We laughed and learned of each other,
said things we wouldn't to another.

We couldn't wait to be together,
to talk and learn more of one another.
The big day came, we were so excited,
the evening went without a flaw we were delighted.

He immediately made me feel at ease,
he made me laugh and he loved to tease.
It was a perfect date, like no other,
but sadly there may never be another.

I will never forget the night we met,
how he made me feel so at ease, how he dressed.
How he made me smile, being clever all the while,
I recall also his laughter and his smile.

I pray to the Lord above,
that he will see my love.
I pray he will quickly see,
he does have a love for me.

Our lives would be so very grand,
If I his woman and he my man.
So Lord please hear my prayer,
Touch his heart, let him know I am there.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
