    Amanda

What will it take for me to let go.
    All my hopes and dreams
melted away like the spring snow.
She was my dream come true.
Now I am left broken and bleeding
    my butterfly away you flew.
I hold on to a time
when I looked into you eyes
and knew your heart was mine.
    My life ended that day
    but yours has gone on
there is nothing left for me to say.
    Except I loved you then
    I love you now
    My love will never end.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
