    Poem Commentary

    My life

    Damaged

Little one so innocent and sweet
never to know the the hell you will meet.
    Loving unconditionally full of dreams
wondering why no one hears your screams.
The ones who are suppose to protect you
    just push you away.
It's all your fault you hear them say.
As you grow you try so hard
but a bad girl is all you are.
    When you grow you realize
everything you knew was a lie.
The little voice inside your head telling you
    Everything they said was true.
You try to fight but the damage is done
You and that little girl have become one.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
