An Attitude for Altitude

An Attitude for Altitude

If you have a high respect for yourself, or your abilities, then you will climb much higher and you will go a great deal further in life.

If low self-esteem is what you possess, then your goals may always appear to be at heights that are out of sight.

There was once a person who found the inward strength and fortitude to climb the highest pinnacle ever known to exist amongst all of earth’s mountains.  With hard pressed breath, weary eyes and strained muscles, the first clear thought released from mumbling lips (spoken at a height much too far away to be audible to any ear); “Thank you God for giving me adversities in my life from time to time to teach me to be stronger. I appreciate you showing me that when I was wounded or when I was ill that with the right will of mind and with time that I would recover. I am grateful for the love of others who have taught me to believe in myself, always knowing that I could do anything that I put my mind too. I give you great praise for allowing me to live another day learned by the past and fueled by faith of greater days in the future. Should there be no day past today I will have known that I have reached the height at which I was meant to reach, without regret of having not dared to dream big. Though this is a place on high, I know that the skies reach to the heavens and that beyond the stars are places that exceed my imagination, so with that realization I will not stop at this altitude.”

By simply believing in the abilities that I have developed over time and with each step of my life, I have acquired an attitude. No one is going to tell me what I can’t do, because the ones that I love and who encourage me have constantly told me what I can do. I will march up the path to find a hill, over the hill to climb a mountain, and look beyond the mountain to find myself. I have an attitude for altitude to always soar further and higher until I exceed all my own expectations.
