    Poem Commentary

Some times are strengths can turn into our greatest weakness and vise versa.

    Blinded by sight

I decided to take a walk this day to make my world seem ok. With one step inside the park I caught the scent of natures bark. With little help I found a bench, and in it found what lay in trench. I heard the ducks taking flight, no others saw, too blinded by sight. As all walked by I pitied them. For with their eyes they were condemned, to never know natures might, for ever, blinded by sight.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
