You get what you paid for

A boy thrown upon the streets was left with no food to eat. The people past with little help, if only to feed internal whelps. With stomach empty he began to steal, found no other way to get a meal. The humble stealing turned to looting, and eventually to brutal shootings. As on he killed all feared his name, but who in this was really to blame? You passed him by with not much said, and when asked for food you all just fled.

Um, I can't take the blame. If I give him money, who is to say he won't use it on drugs. If he uses it on food, he will just be teaching him to beg some more. I like the poem, but not the message. JMHO (Just my humble opinion)

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
