    Broken Heart

    By Christopher Sandler

A broken heart is a sad thing
All shattered to pieces painfully, hurtfully
Repair seems impossible, hard to even think about
Only time can heal an injury to the heart
    The healing process long, miserable
Sometimes more painful than the breaking
    But eventually, everyone heals
But like glass, the repaired is never the same as it once was
    Chipped, scratched, battered
But hearts were made to be broken
Made to survive the breaking, the repairing
Then heal and try again, love again, feel again
    Repairing, healing, hard, long, painful
    But bearable, with strength, courage
To heal, feel, try again, love again

Stretched that is what we are about, a grand stretching of the fabric of our lives. Wonderful view you have in this, so wise I think, all things mend and mesh into our overall life material.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
