Confused about my feelings,
and confused about why,
even thought I want to,
I can not even cry.

I think its because im in shock,
and dont know what to do.
But most of all I don't understand,
why this is happening to you.

You hear about it all the time,
when someone says the words,
"you have cancer somewhere,
and i'm afraid its getting worse".

It happens to other people,
but you don't think it'll happen to you,
or anyone that you're close to.

But then it happens suddenly,
and turns your world upside down.
You try not to think about it,
but its there every time you turn around.

I don't understand why this is happening to you.
Because its just not fair.

I don't know why cancer picked you,
and I don't think that cancer cares.
