    The Bully Scene

You make fun of other people,
    Sometimes even your friends.
You make mean names and comments,
    It really never ends.

    You're always just so hurtful,
    You're always just so cruel.
Yet you think that what you're doing,
    Is making you look cool.

But its making you a bully,
    Its making you look bad.
I don't get why you like it,
    When you're making others sad.

I think you all should be ashamed,
    For sometimes bringing tears.
I wish I could stand up to you,
    And conquer all the fears.

I wish you'd all just grow up,
    And stop being so mean,
I wish you'd just stop worrying,
    About the Bully Scene.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
