Cover Me

          Give me cover.
          Provide me shelter.
          Stretch over me.
          Make me swelter.

          Shield my eyes
          From any too-bright glare.
          Hide my soul
          From each too-deep stare.

          Stay by my side
          My nameless knight,
          Through the darkness
          Until the light.

          Give me cover.
          Provide me shelter.
          Stretch over me.
          Make me swelter.

I do believe I could make that very same request, and I certainly will too.. The next time I happen to be lucky enough to have a sympathetic ear within whisper range.... Great write dear... 10 here

a sympathetic ear within whisper range, indeed....we should all be so lucky as often as possible. Thanks for the kudos.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
