    Dark Angel
    A heart beats a hundred times a minute,
    And the moon rises above her head,
    Basking her in such a glow,
    That ne’er masks her beauty--
    This heart that beats belongs to her lover,
    Adoration glistening in orbs so wide,
    The moon itself cannot compare,
    Not her beauty nor his eyes in size--
    Raven hair falling gently down her back,
    Softly waving and curling,
    His fingers tangle in her lush mane,
    Each strand as smooth as silk--
    Her head turns to face him,
    Half covered in light and the other in shadow,
    Eyes so blue that the night sky pales in comparison,
    But they fade fast before him into a deep black void--
    The moon has claimed her,
    And she is no longer his angel from above--
