O Goddess

O Goddess

O Goddess of the Night,

Please speak to me—

Speak words of soft praise in my ear,

Encouraging me to do your will—

O Goddess of the Night,

Nyx and Hecate combine as one—

Make me your servant forevermore,

Or so help me Goddess—

My heart bleeds for your hand,

To guide me along my slow journey—

I need to feel your breasts upon my back,

As I walk down this road alone—

O Goddess of the Night,

Do your duty so I can do mine—

Do not leave me in despair,

Do not leave me to do the tasks for myself—

Thanks :)

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
