    Dear Paper

I’m writing to you because you the only one that will listen to me, maybe you will understand. Things are not the same without her, she was my fairy tale, the true meaning of a fantasy. Like true love's first kiss. A kiss like no other, sometimes I feel like I’m still in that room, mentally trapped and the songs of Moulin rouge are still singing in my head. I miss her kiss, the smell of her breath, and the look in her eyes when she grasps for air. Only if I could feel her one more time, just to let me know that it’s ok to dream of love, pain, to fantasize of rain. The truth hurts but in my dreams her kiss sooths my pain as if it’s were Tylenol or Advil, it soothes me.
Songs like "21 Reasons" and "Lovers and Friends" whisper her name and for a while I kept answering only to truly open my eyes to realize she's not calling, it’s only a song.
My memories are full of her smiles and her hair, and as the days go by I find myself further and further away from her still it seems like the further away I go, the love gets stronger. Like it’s just another reason why we are not together, because in my mind there is no doubt of her love for me. Sometimes I wish I were like you Mr. Paper, not feeling love, hate, pain, pride, no feelings at all. Seems like I am possessed by her kiss.
Dear paper I’m writing to you because you're the only one that will listen to me, maybe you will understand.

This sounds so familar to my own experiances lately... maybe it's because the paper is the only one who absorbs everything and judges nothing... Who is always there when everything else seems to be lost

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
