    Death

    Were I to die
Who would mourn, who would cry
I think not a tear would fall from your eye
For you cared not for my mortal coil
That lies here now in the soil

    I fear not death
For it can only take my breath
    It cannot touch my soul
For it has not absolute control
    Over my soul

    I have died
No one mourned, no one cried
    So my soul died
    By none was I missed
By only death ever was I kissed

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
