Doing My Time
I'm sitting here now, doing my time
Hoping my family will send me a dime
This place makes me crazy, it's nowhere near exquisite
Bu we learn to get by, with our mail, and a visit
I miss my mother, my boyfriend, and my children too
I want to be home with them, and there's nothing I can
do
Some of the women test you, and try to get you in
trouble
So I just try to stay, in my own little bubble
My time is getting harder as I count down my days
I sit on my bed, reflecting on how to change my ways
I don't let it get to me, and I pretend to be fine,
It won't be long, I'll be home, and then I will shine

Hoping my family will send me a dime
This place makes me crazy, it's nowhere near exquisite
Bu we learn to get by, with our mail, and a visit
I miss my mother, my boyfriend, and my children too
I want to be home with them, and there's nothing I can
do
Some of the women test you, and try to get you in

So I just try to stay, in my own little bubble
My time is getting harder as I count down my days
I sit on my bed, reflecting on how to change my ways
I don't let it get to me, and I pretend to be fine,
It won't be long, I'll be home, and then I will shine
