I Have Never Been Blessed With Children,Just Want You All To Know This. But I Do Get Tears Each Time I Read This For The Man That Has Had To Deal With This Hurt n pain

Don't Take Her Please

The day my daughter turned seven,
A day I will always remember.
when she died and went to Heaven,
It happened 3 years ago December.
Walking home from school,
as she did everyday.
One to many drinks,
And he was on his way.
Up on the curb,
his car did drive.
The police brought me there,
for she was barely alive.
She looked up at me,
with a tear in her eye.
And said please dont cry daddy,
then she said "Good Bye".
My heart filled with sorrow,
as I fell to my knees.
God dont take my daughter,
Dont take her please.
Today my daughter,
Would have been eleven.
If she was down here with me,
And not with God in Heaven.
This poem is in Dedication to all of the
Parents, that have lost chilren because of a Drunk
Driver.May The Lord Bless your life.

i feel as the other do,the loss of your own blood is such a shame, are we ever going to learn from this?acholol should not be taken for granted, that will not solve the person problem, but have respect for it,knowing when and when not to drink, can't we make that dicission before a live of a another is gone before our eyes

Wow! Very touching. I can't imagine what it must be like to have lost your dausghter. I am so sorry for your loss.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
