Waiting

Waiting

All my life I've waited,
for that special one.
When I'd see her eyes of blue,
my heart would come undone.
Though I had never seen her,
In my dreams I saw her smile,
I've hoped someday I'd meet her,
I've been waiting quiet awhile.
A heart so warm and full of light,
her beauty shines into the night.
To see her words come to the screen,
Is this for real or another dream.
I thought of a song that we could sing,
standing together under an angels wing.
This is the dream of a Gentlemans life,
to ask herone day
"Will You Be My Wife".
Her voice I can hear,
her love I can see.
I will just wait until she's ready,
to fall in love with me.
I hope these words find
there way to her heart,
to dwell inside,
to never depart.

a very lovly simply way of expressing of the one unknown

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
