Dream Storm

In the shadows of a storm,
lost far out at sea...
I drift among the waves,
and float into a dream.
I hear music around me,
a shattered soul's last scream,
but death's a silent dark,
and things aren't what they seem.
Yet, somehow still I know,
It's not a dream at all,
I'm swimming through time,
and satanding ten feet tall.
Falling up to space,
on my tour of the moon,
I'm playing for the sun,
and dancing to the tune.
With thunder in my heart,
and hell to warm my soul,
I sleep six feet under stars,
and know my life was full.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
