Emissary to a Lover Beyond this World I Can Touch

I knelt upon my knee to navigate this Land
Coarse each grain retorts, falling from my hand-
Donned the darkness from which they crept –
Bore the star my reflection must accept
Tundra or desert, I have indeed had my fill
Scavengers circling compel my Valkyrie shrill

Day has passed and night must hasten
Resigned body, mind and heart be chasten
A nomad, a soldier, or a mere performer
The desert is so cold, but has kept her warmer
I have sought within her heart - found my haven
Emissary affixed her shoulder assigned the raven-

Twilight Neter- gage my spirit against its hallowed meter
Now with a feather placed, the scale has begun to teeter
Pigment from the skin withdrawn has coerced my blood quicken
Recount this second, a life of folly from which my fear has stricken -
From my record’s inner most vision, merit, and all outer signs of worth
Be she kind, Oh love of mine, or leave my ashes for thieves to unearth

May it seem she from my dream should fade far from my weary embrace and sight?!
Or may it bare embrace and stare, she is bound my eternal companion bathed in light?!

Anubis! I implore thee, hath thy scale balanced or hath day been devoured by night?!
Anubis! I implore thee, hath thy scale found balance or hath day devoured thy night?!
