    Emotional Trial

    Everyday I try to remember
    When we were younger
You taught us how to become men
Now as the tears form and days go by
I try to stay strong for our family

    The feeling overwhelms my body
Leaving me with nothing left but tears
    Hopelessness races through my body
Like gasoline poured on the ground and ignited
    Flashbacks of your motionless body
Brings me back to square one

You tell me everythings going to be alright
But losing my dad isn't something I'm willing to accept
    Life is an emotional trial
With obstacles and times of denial
I try to hold my head up

And be proud for the legacy you've left
You're always watching over us with a smile
Knowing we will always make you proud
