    Pieces of Me

    I put up these boundaries

    Hoping nobody will be able to break through

    Afraid of what people might say

    Slowly my pieces break away

    Revealing a side I'm so afraid of showing

    People glance,snarl, and give me these bewildered looks

    These are the pieces of me

    I've tried so hard to keep bottled up

    But it took someone special for me to see

    That people saw right through me

    Now I'm left with these pieces to clean

    Each has a place in my life where they fit in

    When you fit them all together

    You have pieces of me
