End of the line Hotel (country Song)

San Francisco still alive and determined to survive
Without you
Thinking
Thinking
Life is like four walls
Almost like nothing at all
At the end of the line hotel

A street ban played at the park
in the square
Trolley cars noisy at the turns
People with purple and orange hair Looking lost and unaware
Insipid dribbling
Insipid dribbling
Of the mindless in the air

Broken window pains
incessant slapping of the winter rains
Life is like four walls
Almost like nothing at all
At the end of the line hotel

Spider Webs on the wall
And in the hall
Broken promises like broken window pains
Since we parted
Life is just four walls
Almost like nothing at all
At the end of the line hotel

A quiet pay phone
Wondering
Wondering
If you are home
Another cup of coffee
Another cigarette
Regretting what I said
And things I did not say
Life is just four walls
Almost like nothing at all
At the end of the line hotel

We were together it seemed like only yesterday
Ancient History
Like antiquity
Now my mind no freedom to unwind
Always thinking
Thinking
Life is just four walls
Almost like nothing at all
At the end of the line hotel

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
