Father take me as i am,
Father make me a better man.
You show yourself worthy of praise,
my broken spirit your able to raise.
Lord you can make me a child anew,
teach me to be more like you.
I can't be alone during the fight,
you see my struggles both day and night.
They come to me as of the roaring lion,
Come father, i am tired of cryin.
In your word you say not to fear,
to take your hand and hold it dear.
so as i bow and open your book,
I ask you to take a second look.
i know you're waiting to give rest to my soul,
i know you'll be there with open arms when i go.
Father God, inter in, and live in my heart,
I'm longing for a brand new start.
I know you forgive all sins,
i am just waiting to hear "My child, inter in!"

A very nice read, we all come across a point in our lives when we long for a new start. Though I did notice one typo in the second line. Also, I noticed some missing commas and watch out for "i" instead of "I." It was a very nice poem, very deep and wise beyond your years. Beautifully written. Good job.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
