Envy

Envy

I watched her as she lost herself

As she allowed him to steal her soul

While she fell deeper and deeper into a black hole

He took everything she was and wanted to be

Tearing her apart carelessly

She became a shell of herself, empty and hollow

With no dreams left for herself or tomorrow

He destroyed what she was and wanted to be

And I turned my back on her because I couldn't bear to see.
