Goodbye II

Goodbye II

I'm writing this to tell you good-bye

Tears for you I will no longer fall from my eyes

So many things I wanted us to be

Not seeing that you didn't even want to be with me

So many things you did I was blind to

There was nothing wrong in you

You looked down on me so I did too

The thing is I never looked down on you

Even at your lowest I was your equal

But now of you I am above

You no longer have my love

You're not going to miss me until I'm gone

Until it won't be long

You took pleasure in my pain

And that cloud over your head will continue to rain

But guess what? My sun's coming out to shine

In your life I wish you nothing but joy

Maybe one day you'll become a man and stop being a boy

As for me, my life's just begun

When it comes down to it, you lost and I won.

Thank you so very much. This is the scariest thing I've ever done, posting my thoughts for the world to see, but Thank you for your kind comment and I look forward to reading more of your work

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
