    EUPHORIC LOVE

    EUPHORIC LOVE
    By Cecilia P

No words to describe this love.
    This oblivious state of mind.
This wistful flutter of my soul.
In slumber, I leave my body behind.

It travels with the midnight air.
    And visits your soporific state.
At last my sweetness I caress your soul.
    Our bodies and souls consummate.

We've drenched our souls into the water.
With this euphoric state of love.
    My body,your body...your body,mine.
    This insatiable gift from above.

    My soul with your soul.
Together our minds become one and complete.
    This forsaken lovelorn flesh desire.
To appease with slumber a small defeat.

At bed time just before sweet slumber.
I choose the brightest star at night.
Knowing that you see it too.
It brings us closer with it's light.

We've drenched our souls into the water.
With this euphoric state of love.
    My body,your body...your body,mine.
    This insatiable gift from above.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
