    Thank you my loved ones

The sunrise has come on this cold winter day,
it gives warmth to my body with it’s morning light.
My soul happily greets this day as no other,
I bid my farewells and my soul prepares for flight.

I hear faint calls from you and from them,
you are my adored present and they are my beloved past.
They are calling me to come home now,
my soul holds onto you and my body will not last.

Your tender words and sweet good-byes,
have guided me home on this gorgeous journey through.
All your precious prayers have translated into music,
beautiful melodies and my soul now dances around you.

You’ve lifted me up on this journey back home.
I thank you dearly for letting me go.
Remember that I’m always with you now.
Until we meet again, know that I’ve loved you so.

written 2/11/09 In loving memory for Uncle Sal Cisneros

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
