    FALLING GLASS

    Watching as if through
    A pane of glass
Seeing the towers break up and fall
The transmitted image hits us a thousand times
    Each one another shattered window
Crashing on our heads and cutting us up

The cathedral bells try to put the shattering
    Back into some greater harmony
    The chiming ringing brass
    Resonates like spheres of glass

The music of the spheres cannot play
When shattered – so sad to say

This is a beautiful poem, original to me, ..............ty WS

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
