    Feed the Hungry

    disaster on T.V.
    broken homes and babies screaming
    donate to those in need
and it will make you a saint indeed
but if I feed you...who is going to feed me?

    destitution is a sad state
not knowing if you will have food on the dinner plate
but it didn't take a disaster to make me feel that pain
    nobody to pull me up
    nobody to dust me off
    so I pulled myself up
but that dirt it does stain
and stays with you to remind you of the pain
I hope I never have to do that again
    but I probably will...
