Forgiven...

Forgiven...

Life once wasn't life but a chance to die
Opportunities arose also fear, I can't lie

All I wanted was what I wanted
Come to know it had me haunted

Running through life falling left then right
Eyes wide but blinded I had no sight

Hours gone in minutes, the pain returns
More fuel to the fire, hear me burn

Millions of people even family all around
Still all alone digging six feet down

At the end of my path, now death is pleased
One last breath, I asked 'Lord forgive me'...

What couldn't be, alone God had done
Thank you father for giving your only son.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
