    Messenger

I'm just a messenger death was my leader
No purpose in life, my hate was murder

No reason to live sharing death with others
Ask & receive the Lord has far better

Unable to save the "Lost" not even my self
But to share a message "the Lord is true help"

Give the glory to God he gave me a purpose
Announce his importance while I become less

I'm just a messenger not to be remembered
Forget about God then life is in danger

The Word of God, the message alone
Who is willing to listen? only he knows...

How could I explain what comes from heaven
Only one can explain is from whom it is sent.

I don't have the answers, but the power within
The spirit in us to speak the Word from him.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
