    Lost and Found

Dreams of the past, these dreams that last
Can't seem to awaken its holding me back

Can't see what I see though its right in front of me
Blind to the present all there is, is memories

Am I holding on or is it holding on to me?
Which ones to toss, which ones to keep...

Get it one day forget it another
I don't want it any more, I want the future

Point A to B it doesn't make sense
Where am "I" in this equation?

The future is out of view, dragging the past
How do I let go I don't understand

A purpose answers, the question of why?
Does it excape, why one most die?

From darkness to light it feels like life?
A missunderstanding? do I trust my sight?

Trying to "understand", under what do I stand?
What comes and goes is not what I am

I feel awake, I see past my hands
The way out is knowing where I stand

A seed most die for life to spring
Who plants the seeds is not up to me

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
