    Gaze into the Haze

    With simplistic values learned
I stop and wonder what I've earned.
Against the wall, I can't look back,
within these chains there is no slack.
So under pressure I will take,
within this path that I will make.
The lack of risk and I will give,
I shouldn't forget how to live.

In this daydream haze - I find there's a cost.
Within my own gaze - I guess I got lost.

Growing up I'm taught to believe
in some things that were never real.
Is there truth that I can receive?
Something to see, something to feel.
Beyond myself I need to know
more of this story, what's to tell.
Where's the answer? Where does it grow?
Inside myself it breaks the spell.

With a lucid gaze - I'm starting to see
that within this haze - I'm looking for...me.
