Gazing at the stars

Poem Commentary

Written for a friend who helped me....

Gazing at the stars

My breath speaks of a friendship rekindled

Formed out of a bond of trust and need

I am a believer in your way. Silent, yet strong

Caring for one such as me I see light through

The clouds now. My eyes open and focused

Gazing at the stars like never before more brilliant

And clear the air I smell like new snow I’m at peace

Now as I close my eyes with the thought of our

New found Alliance fervent in this moment in

Time. Blessed be my patron of faith…. All my

Heart, friendship and admiration…

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
