    Poem Commentary

My poem is a metaphor of how we build a new relationship and with the wrong words or movement we loose it all in a brief instant...

    Your eyes in Candel light

Its dim the natural light is beginning to fade…

A gentle wind begins to move forth over this day...

I search for light so that I may find my way to you…

Fumbling through life’s drawers I touch two candles

Mine and yours… I light the first one with steady hand

Watching the flame come alive in its brilliant ember…

Cobalt blue flame lays the foundation while a vanilla crown

Rest on top… I strike yet another match as it crackles to life

I light yours… Slowly it radiates to life… every movement

Every shape every form, dancing before my eyes. A beautiful

Moment steeped in a warm glow. Just alluring just wondrous

As it burns…Whist they burn along side one another they seem to dance

In a slow rhythmic movement complementing the other

Drawing on the energy and heat in a divine unison

The wind an envious element has now began to build out side

As the action causes your flame to move quicker and faster

I close every window and every door so as to not let your

Flame flicker away…As I move to stop this action, all is in vain

Alas I am to late… I was not strong enough in my measures to save

Your light…you are no more than a smoldering memory of how

Fleeting and beautiful a flame can be…
