Her Fire

Her Fire

When I look in her eyes I can see that she's strong,
But this fight that she's fighting could shatter her song,
There's a fire inside her that now burns so bright,
As it shines through her eyes in the darkest of night,
It's sad though to see that her sparkle inside,
Will keep loosing it's strength till it's gone and has died,
So happy is she when she's out of that house,
But when she's with him she feels like a mouse,
Cause he hovers around her and above her he towers,
And he makes her now feel like below him she cowers,
It hurts me inside, though, to know she can't see,
How happy her life, without him, it would be.

Great poem dear, It can be easier at times to be away from the one you love, but once that love is gone forever it would be missed. Ihope it works out the way you wish. I spent 6 months last year at the south pole!

Powerful. I loved the ending. It made me sad though.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
