    How I Love You...

Seven springs away (you saw it fair stars)
    My heart skipped a beat,
And the golden arrows marked me
    When Love invaded my heart.
    Even now my soul smiles
    To think of you, your eyes;
For such a blessing I never saw
Would fall on me, mortal man.
    God, Great and True,
Eternally indebted I am to you:
I love her in words, such as these
    In dreams, during night's veil
In wish, wanting for her joy
And improving for her, in deeds.
Annie Jo, beloved of my heart and mind
I desire to hold you, to embrace thee.
    To be with you again,
    and to Love you eternally.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
