    IDENTITY THEFT

To each it's own, we deem condoned

    Then strike within the light.

We think, we dream, we plough a path

    Deep into what is right.

Struggles and tears, we strive through our years,

    Attacking life's mysterious plans.

    Through lives unintentional, illusions unmentionable

    Tempting hunger does soften demands

As fantastic misdeeds, now take breath and conceive,

The germination of life's plight, takes its own flight,

While imaginary destiny grabs hold and glows bright,

Smugly basking in one saddens stolen soul's might.

Vivid screams now construe, where's the soul's own true due?

Yet, what's now stolen is hid within sight.

So, the circle of question, now begs the attention,

Give up might or fight for what's right?

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
