Insomnia

Sleepless nights
Taunt and curse my days ahead
Leaving me to tread a path
Uncertain and sometimes troubled
I shut my eyes, yet my mind brings me no peace of rest
Pounding messages of relentless scopes
Peering into my psyche
To develop a sense of tangible truth to what my heart wants
And what my mind approves of and understands
My actions become weak and stolid
From uncertainty and confusion
My dreams and reality
As one congruent thought
Do not mingle well to the bases of human
Actions and reactions
As emotions create scenarios unforeseen
Based on hope, yet weighed by doubt
Probability interferes with my logics of truth
For when the heart is struck with pain
The only sense of logics is tainted with emotions
That concludes ill notions that weaken all faith

This is very good poetic imagery of your life's situation to the point of being clear about the confusion that has invaded you. The "mind" is the "creator of scenarios unforeseen" — thoughts are the creators of our lives, causing emotions to erupt in to uncontrollable flames. Good write!

You expressed that very well...I can relate. Nicely done.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
