    • I'm currently turning my poems into songs. A little re-writing here and there. Would be grateful to find someone who can write music. If anyone knows someone who can write music or who can sing, send them my way.

    Junior

I had to give my cat away
Would of had to pay more
    So he just couldn't stay

    I'll miss him so much
His fur I will no longer
    Be able to touch

    When I was feeling down
    He would cheer me up
When I was wearing a frown

    When I would come home
    He'd meow to say hi
    And quit leaving me alone

    How was your day
    Meow meow meow
    Was all that he'd say

I'd be sitting on the toilet and he'd follow and say
"What are you doing in there?"
    Hey will you just away!

But now he is gone I'm sad to say
    He might of gone
But his hair chose to stay

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
