Just For You

Just For You

The dark nights seem to come more frequent now,

The sadness, I can’t ignore, I just don’t know how

Each time I feel myself falling further down,

But this time was different, you didn’t let me drown

You talked to me; you held my hand through the night,

Before I knew it I was smiling into the sunlight

You brought me back from a place I don’t like to be

You kept me talking, you wouldn’t let me leave.

Sharing my thoughts, my fears something I normally don’t do,

But somehow you made it easy, I found myself wanting to talk to you

We’ve shared our fears, our hurts and even some things most people don’t know,

You may be a stranger but I feel you touching my soul.

I have had many friends but the things we share are different than me and you

I’m open, I’m honest, I am me through and through

You get me through the darkness like nobody else can,

So different from doing it alone, before I just ran.

A friendship we’ve found, without even trying,

Laughing and joking instead of crying.

No matter where we are or where we may go,

This friendship we found will continue to grow.

I’ll be there for you whenever you’re feeling down and out,

To hold your hand, wipe the tears this is what friendship is all about

Even when the good happens and you want to share,

You know where I am, I will always be there.

I think this is very good, your lyrics and title, you have talent and I think it would be a nice Pop Song, with the right production and music, keep writing your on the right road to master this craft ! Good Luck! grecowong@yahoo.com WP

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
