A World So Cold

A World So Cold

A world so cold, lives with no respect

Loves turned away, hearts full of neglect

Souls lost, life full of fear

Nights alone, eyes full of tears

Loved ones leaving, lives are breaking

Dreams are dying, hearts are aching

Future stops, pasts come back

Nights are lonely, light turns black

Lost again, nothing turns out as planned

All alone, no one to take you by the hand

Trying not to give in, trying to hold onto hope

Drowning further, not sure if you can cope

Praying for direction, hoping he hears

Searching in darkness, waiting for the light to appear

Tear stained pillows, hiding in the bed

To scared to face it, would rather hide instead

Pull the covers back, looking for someone to save you

Find the strength, to survive, to make it through
