Poem Commentary

The poem is a reflection on meditation and it's benefit. it is also a description of the ego's ability to intervene even as we are are on the verge of letting it go. Pernicious little guy that he is! I hope that you enjoy this.

Kharmic Wheel

Chimes gently beckon

Resonant invocation,

Candle lit Buddha

Gazes through me.

Perception, reaction

Consciousness not words,

One thought focus

Worn robe erect.

Imperceptible breath

Iron cliffs,

Silver mountains

Armour clad awareness.

River nearly forded

Bearing down,

Then curious

Looking back.

In vanities grip

Self admiration,

Transports me

Back to shore.

love this, James ... nice meditation ... thx for posting!

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
