    Lately

    Lately I have sensed
    That since our attachment
    Things have meant more
    Than our initial intent.
    We have intentionally
    and beneficially
    Gotten more intimate.

    In you I can believe,
    and depend on
But where it used to depend on
    Getting you to understand me,
I see that you instead demand me
    to understand me.
    Now tell me who would
    have quite understood
that you would have done that?

    With that being said
instead of me saying "I said"
I've shed many tears for love.
    Love lost and love found.
My belief in it brought back around.
    The sound of your name
    Picturing of your frame
As lame as it may be
    Maybe that's just me.
    It may be that I
    Just thank you for me
    And what you have helped
    this man to see.
